OWNER + FOUNDER, LINDSY FAGAN

Infertility is a shared journey, one that touches many lives. Chances are, you or someone you know has faced its challenges. Like countless others, we discovered that the path to parenthood wasn't as straightforward (or budget-friendly) as we initially thought.

As we embarked on our fertility journey, I found myself in need of something outside the realm of fertility treatments to channel my energy into. That's when chip+chisel came into the picture. I dove headfirst into the art of jewelry-making, embracing each lesson and challenge it brought. I must admit, my husband may have been a bit concerned as packages of supplies arrived almost daily, but he stood by my side, hoping I'd at least break even! At first, I wasn't sure what my focus or style should be, but it didn't take long for me to discover my passion for crafting personalized pieces. Interestingly, a significant portion of my designs turned out to be for new moms.

You might think it's tough to create pieces for new parents given our own circumstances, but it was quite the opposite. It kept me focused, knowing that one day, I might be crafting a "new mommy" design for myself (and believe me, I now have quite a collection!). I'm incredibly grateful for every customer who chose and continues to choose chip+chisel for their handcrafted jewelry. You inspire and uplift me in ways words can't express.

Fast forward over a decade, and chip+chisel has become something beyond our wildest dreams – a true labor of love. Through our humble beginnings, we now have beautiful twin girls and the opportunity to support others facing infertility's challenges. I remember starting this venture in my dining room, with my mom helping to fulfill orders and using an ironing board as a makeshift packaging station!

As time goes on, it's essential to me that chip+chisel never loses that personal touch that sets us apart. Initially, I kept our story and the true reason behind c+c under wraps. However, I've come to realize the profound impact our journey has had on us. It's fueled our desire to be candid about our struggle in the hope of reaching other families dealing with infertility, miscarriage, and more. While I'll always have a deep passion for creating personalized jewelry, what truly excites me is being a part of someone else's story, even if it's just through the gift of a handcrafted keepsake.

Our vision for chip+chisel is to be a continuous circle of giving, supporting, and connecting with others. Please don't hesitate to reach out about anything. I'd love to hear from you.

Warmly,
Lindsy
